Dr. Kelly Vernon
Dr. Kelly Vernon is an alum of the University of Florida, earning her BS in Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation in 2001, and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.
Once she began practicing in general and emergency medicine, she wanted to be able to offer more options to patients especially ones with chronic pain or mobility issues. She pursued her acupuncture certification from the Chi Institute (now Chi University) in 2011, then went on to obtain a certification in canine physical rehabilitation in 2019 from the University of Tennessee. Her most recent educational journey was at Chi University to secure her small animal veterinary medical manipulation certificate, which is similar to chiropractic manipulations in humans. These certifications and training have allowed her to develop a more "whole body" approach with her patients.
Dr. Vernon and her family live in Belleview, Florida on a small farm. Her current menagerie includes 5 dogs, 2 cats, 5 horses, 4 goats, a flock of chickens, and 4 snakes. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and reading.
