In a pet health or
safety emergency:
We genuinely hope that we are available in your pet’s time of immediate need and can provide the care and support they deserve. However, in the event that you have an emergency outside of our business hours, or if you call us and, unfortunately, we are unable to treat you at that moment, we recommend the following clinics to assist you in obtaining the necessary care for your beloved pet.
First Line of Defense: VetTriage
When you have a pet health concern after normal business hours, VetTriage veterinarians are on standby 24 hours a day to assist. For a small fee, you will be connected to the VetTriage veterinarians on a live video chat session. They will triage your pet and give you at-home care guidance, or if they determine hospital care is necessary, coordinate your visit with the nearest emergency hospital.
Steps to Connect:
1. Go to www.vettriage.com/chi using your mobile device or computer with camera.
2. Follow the instructions on the VetTriage page to purchase and request your session with a vet.
3. The vet will join in minutes and triage your pet.
